Women only

Women-only company in New York

Women only. Every member is a woman, verified by ID and a live video.

New York always has something on; the hard part is finding someone free to go with you. When SheJoins opens here, you'll be able to find a verified woman to join you, from a concert at Carnegie Hall to a walk along the High Line. Every plan will be platonic, and every plan in a public place.

Coming soon to New York. You can join and get verified now, from anywhere.

Ideas for your first plan

Famous public places in New York to start with. They're ideas, not partner venues: in the app, every plan uses a public venue from our approved list.

Concerts and events

  • Carnegie Hall. One of the world's great concert halls, in Midtown.
  • Lincoln Center. Orchestras, opera, ballet and jazz around one plaza on the Upper West Side.
  • Madison Square Garden. The arena for the big tours, above Penn Station.

Coffee and meals

  • Chelsea Market. Food halls in a former biscuit factory, next to the High Line.
  • Grand Central Terminal. Look up at the Main Concourse ceiling, then eat on the Dining Concourse.

Movies and shopping

  • Strand Book Store. Floors of new and used books near Union Square. Pick one for each other.
  • Film Forum. Independent and classic films on West Houston Street.

Walks and city days

  • Central Park. The Mall, Bethesda Terrace and the Reservoir loop, at your own pace.
  • The High Line. A park on an old elevated railway, from the Meatpacking District to Hudson Yards.
  • Brooklyn Bridge. Walk across together for the skyline, then explore DUMBO.
  • The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Five thousand years of art on Fifth Avenue. Pick a wing each.
  • New York Public Library. The lions on Fifth Avenue and the Rose Main Reading Room.

A good first plan in New York

A good first plan is short and easy to leave: a walk on the High Line, or an hour at the Met. If it goes well, get tickets for a concert next time. The subway makes most of Manhattan and Brooklyn easy to reach, so choose a stop that suits you both, and agree on an exact meeting point, such as a museum entrance, before you go.

  • Women only, verified with ID and a live video check

  • Camera-only profile photos, so what you see is who you meet

  • An SOS button and safety check-ins on every booking

  • Public places only, with every message and payment kept in the app

  • Your payment is held until the activity is done

In an emergency, always call 911 first.
